This recipe would work for any white flakey fish! Walleye, Perch, Bluegill are just a few species this would go amazing with!
Ingredients
- 1 lb of white flakey fish (Tilapia is pictured)
- 2 cloves of minced garlic
- 2 TBSP of honey
- 1/3 TBSP of cumin
- 1/4 TBSP of smoked paprika (can be regular paprika as well)
- 3 TBSP of butter
- pinch of red pepper flakes
- fresh parsley
- 1 lime
- 1 TBSP of brown sugar
- S&P
Directions
- In a small bowl, mix together the following:
- Minced Garlic
- Honey
- Cumin
- Paprika
- Red Pepper Flakes
- Zest and juice of 1 lime
- Pinch of parsley
- Brown sugar
- S&P
- The mixture should be the consistency of a thin syrup, if too thick, add a tiny bit of water
- Pat dry the fillets of fish with a paper towel and place each fillet in the mixture
- After the fish is evenly covered by the mixture, place each fillet on an oil-sprayed nonstick baking pan
- Pour the rest of the mixture leftover from the bowl on top of each fillet
- Top each fillet with 1 pat of butter
- Bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes
- Take out & DIG IN
